Liz and Dick Dinner Party

RED CARPET FOR PRIVATE DINNER CELEBRATING LIZ AND DICK’S UPCOMING PREMIERE

For nearly a quarter of a century, Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton were Hollywood royalty and their fiery romance—often called "the marriage of the century"—was the most notorious, publicized and celebrated love affair of its day.  Swarmed by paparazzi worldwide, their love affair was played out entirely in front of the media from the time they met on the set of the major motion picture Cleopatra, left their respective spouses, married and divorced, only to remarry and divorce once again.  Despite their roller coaster romance for the public eye to see, Liz and Dick shared an undeniable love greater than most people could ever dream of.  Liz and Dick makes its debut on Sunday, November 25 at 9pm ET/PT on Lifetime

Liz and Dick premieres Sunday, but some critics are already having a LiLo-bashing party after watching the Elizabeth Taylor biopic, Fox News reports. “It’s just bad. Her voice—she sounds like herself, a smoker from Long Island, and there is no chemistry with her co-star, and she was clearly not prepared,” says one early viewer. Most reviews so far agree Lohan was not the best choice, but here are the best lines from the cattiest review, by Tim Goodman in the Hollywood Reporter:
It should come as no great surprise that Lifetime's Liz and Dick movie starring Lindsay Lohan is spectacularly bad. ... Lohan is woeful as Taylor from start to finish. But, whatever you do, don't miss Liz and Dick. It's an instant classic of unintentional hilarity."
"Drinking games were made for movies like this. And the best part is that it gets worse as it goes on, so in the right company with the right beverages ... by the time Lohan is playing mid-'80s Taylor and it looks like a lost Saturday Night Live skit, your body may be cramped by convulsions."
"Anyway, on to the parts of the film where people walk and talk. The talking part doesn’t turn out so well for Lohan. There is not one minute in this film where she’s believable."
"At one point, Lohan has to shout, 'I won’t live without you!' and then run down a hall. It’s like a high school play."
Don't expect LiLo to learn anything from all this: TMZ reports that she refuses to read any reviews of her performances.

The private dinner party was held at The Beverly Hills Hotel in the Sunset Room.
Lindsay Lohan was the center of attention on the red carpet at the premiere party but not all for the right reasons.

In true diva fashion, Lohan arrived two hours late to the party. She's also being slammed for her outfit. The Huffington Post called the too tight dress, "All sorts of No!," and the London Daily Mail says it was a "Trashy Gold Gown".

We actually liked her cream-colored Donna Dashini silk gown featuring cutouts with jewels attached.
