Ozomalti to Make Their Fourth Appearance at Club Nokia December 15

LOS ANGELES’ CLUB NOKIA PRESENTS: OZOMATLI

GROUP TO MAKE THEIR FOURTH APPEARANCE AT THE VENUE
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 15 - TICKETS ON SALE NOW

Los Angeles’ CLUB NOKIA is excited to announce a Saturday, December 15 return performance by local heroes OZOMATLI.  This marks the group’s fourth appearance at Club Nokia.  Tickets are on sale now.

In their 17 years together as a band, celebrated Los Angeles culture-mashers Ozomatli have gone from being hometown heroes to being named U.S. State Department Cultural Ambassadors. Ozomatli has always juggled two key identities: they are the voice of their city and they are citizens of the world.  The theme for this year's show is “Monkey Madness,” a playful nod to the Mayan end of the world prophecy. Ozomatli encourage fans to go bananas and dance like there's no tomorrow. In the spirit of “Monkey Madness,” the band will be performing a number of new songs. In addition to Ozomatli's headline performance, the lineup also includes Buyepongo from Los Angeles and comedians from Gabriel Iglesias' Stand-Up Revolution: Edwin San Juan, Tony Baker & Nick Guerra. For the hardcore Ozo fans, VIP passes are available for purchase. The VIP Ozohead Pass includes: GA Pit Ticket, Cut the Line Pass, VIP Lounge Access, CafĂ© con Ozo Pre-Show Meet & Greet, Commemorative Poster and Tour Laminate.

Their music--a notorious urban-Latino-and-beyond collision of hip hop and salsa, dancehall and cumbia, samba and funk, merengue and comparsa, East LA R&B and New Orleans second line, Jamaican ragga and Indian raga--has long followed a key mantra: it will take you around the world by taking you around L.A.

Tickets for this show are Ozohead Pass: $40.75/Reserved Balcony: $40.75/GA advance: $23.75 / day of show $28.  Tickets for Club Nokia events are available at all Ticketmaster outlets or online at www.ticketmaster.com and from 10:00 AM-5:00 PM, Mon-Fri at the STAPLES Center Box Office located at 1111 S. Figueroa St.  No fees are charged at the STAPLES Center box office or at the Club Nokia box office on show days (open after 5:00 PM).
