Born on This Day - July 1

Some of the people who are celebrating their birthday today include:

Liv Tyler (1977): Actress who began modeling at the age of 14, gracing the pages of teen magazines such as "Seventeen" and "Mirabella." In 1994, Liv’s father, Steven Tyler, lead singer of the band Aerosmith, cast her in the band’s video for "Crazy." Tyler soon appeared in the films Fall (1994) and Empire Records (1995), and was the darling of the media at the 1996 Cannes Film Festival for her starring role in the Bernardo Bertolucci film, Stealing Beauty. Tyler has given memorable performances in That Thing You Do! (1996), Inventing the Abbots (1997), Armageddon (1998) and Cookie’s Fortune in 1999. Most recently, Liv played the role of Arwen Undomiel Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring and Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.
 
 
         
Pamela Anderson (1967): Actress and model who unexpectedly got her big break while attending a football game in Vancouver. The cameraman put her up on the Jumbotron, advertisers began clamoring to put her in commercials, and then, Playboy called. Anderson’s spread in Playboy put her on a one-way track to stardom, and her popularity lead to both TV and movie offers. Anderson guest starred on the sitcom "Married…With Children," played Lisa, the Tool Time Girl, on "Home Improvement" and was everyone’s favorite lifeguard on the syndicated series "Baywatch." For 4 years, Pamela starred in and produced "V.I.P.", which completed its final season in 2002. Her new animated series "Striperella" can currently be seen on TNN.
 
 
         
Dan Aykroyd (1952): Actor and comedian who was launched into stardom in 1975, as one of the original cast members of "Saturday Night Live." Aykroyd brought to SNL his impeccable impersonations of Presidents Nixon and Carter, the Coneheads skit and helped make the "Blues Brothers" famous. As Aykroyd’s fifth and final season drew to a close, he and John Belushi released the hit film, The Blues Brothers, for which Aykroyd penned the screenplay. Since then, Aykroyd has continued to star on the silver screen in films including Trading Places (1983), Spies Like Us (1985), The Great Outdoors (1988), My Girl (1991), Tommy Boy (1995), Feeling Minnesota (1996), Blues Brothers 2000 and The Curse of the Jade Scorpion in 2001.
   
         
Deborah Harry (1945):

Musician who rose to the top of the Billboard charts as the lead singer for the group "Blondie." Before forming Blondie, Harry played the New York club scene with bands including "The Wind in the Willows" and "The Stilettoes." By 1975, Blondie was a regular at the club CBGB, and was one of the most successful bands emerging from the NY punk scene. In 1977, Blondie signed a record deal and went on to release the platinum albums "Parallel Lines," "Eat to the Beat" and "Autoamerican." Harry’s number 1 hits with the band include "Call Me" (1980), "The Tide is High" (1980) and "Rapture" in 1981. In 1999, Blondie released both a greatest hits album an album of new songs titled "No Exit."
