Tuesday May 25th 2010 UNIVERSAL PICTURES THE GREEK THEATRE, LOS ANGELES CALIFORNIA Get Him to the Greek is a 2010 American comedy film written and directed by Nicholas Stoller and starring Jonah Hill and Russell Brand. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release June 4, 2010. Get Him to the Greek is a spin-off from Forgetting Sarah Marshall, reuniting director Stoller with stars Hill and Brand. Brand reprises his character Aldous Snow from Forgetting Sarah Marshall, while Hill plays an entirely new character. At one point, the film's title was changed to Get Me to the Gig and was then reverted to its original title. The film is rated R for strong sexual content and drug use throughout, and pervasive language.Aldous Snow (Russell Brand) releases a song about problems in Africa called "African Child". The song and music video are seen as horrible and called "the worst thing to happen to Africa since apartheid". The single ruins Snow's career, and as a result he starts drinking and doing drugs excessively. His girlfriend Jackie Q (Rose Byrne), with whom he had a son named Naples, also leaves him, taking custody of Naples. Aaron Green (Jonah Hill) is a driven, idealistic young college graduate who works as an intern at Capitol Records. He lives with his girlfriend, a doctor, but they do not get to see each other often due to their different sleep schedules. Capitol Records has lost a lot of money, so the executive of the branch Sergio (Sean Combs) asks for ideas. Green proposes to have Snow play at the Greek Theater for the tenth anniversary of a performance. Sergio is impressed with the idea and charges Aaron with getting Aldous Snow to the theatre. Hilarity ensues as idealistic Aaron takes drug-addicted Aldous from London to Los Angeles. Visit the official website here

The Wolfman Premiere

Tuesday February 9, 2010 UNIVERSAL PICTURES ARCLIGHT CINEMAS, HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA Universal Studios resurrects the classic lycanthrope with this tale of an American who experiences an unsettling transformation after returning to his ancestral home in Victorian--era Great Britain and being attacked by a rampaging werewolf. His brother having recently vanished without a trace, haunted nobleman Lawrence Talbot (Benicio Del Toro) returns to his family estate to investigate. What he discovers upon reuniting with his estranged father (Anthony Hopkins), however, is a destiny far darker than his blackest nightmares. As a young boy, the untimely death of his mother caused Talbot to grow up before his time. Though Talbot would attempt to bury his pain in the past by leaving the quiet Victorian hamlet of Blackmoor behind, the past returns with a vengeance when his brother's fiancée, Gwen Conliffe (Emily Blunt), convinces him to return home and aid the search for his missing brother. But something monstrous has been stalking the residents of Blackmoor from the nighttime shadows, something not quite human. Not even recently arrived Scotland Yard inspector Aberline (Hugo Weaving) can dream up a rational explanation for the gruesome spell that has been cast over Blackmoor, yet rumors of an ancient curse persist to this very day. According to legend, the afflicted will experience a horrific transformation by the light of the full moon, their animal rage becoming far too powerful for their human bodies to contain. Now, the woman Talbot loves is in mortal danger, and in order to protect her he must venture into the moonlit woods and destroy the beast before it destroys her. But this isn't your typical hunt, because before the beast can be slain, a simple man will uncover a primal side of himself that he never knew existed. Screenwriter Andrew Kevin Walker pens a film directed by Joe Johnston and featuring creature effects by special-effects makeup legend Rick Baker. Set in the late 1880s, the film keeps the plotline of the original, with Lawrence Talbot (Benicio del Toro) meeting his father (Anthony Hopkins) following the death (and in the remake, disappearance) of his brother. The film details events during Lawrence's past that led to his estrangement from his father (which includes Gwen), and the setting is changed from the mythical Welsh village of Llanwelly to the English village of Blackmore and the city of London. The official synopsis states Talbot was traumatized by his mother's death as a child, while Gwen Conliffe (Emily Blunt) is his brother's fiancée. Following his brother's disappearance, Talbot hunts a murderer, which turns out to be a werewolf, and the curse is passed on.

Couples Retreat Premiere

Monday October 5, 2009 UNIVERSAL PICTURES MANNS VILLAGE THEATRE ‘Couples Retreat’ follows four couples on the ultimate holiday at ‘Eden Resort’, designed for some fun in the sun, and …. couples therapy. Arriving in paradise expecting to live it up, the group quickly find themselves all the subject of relationship scrutiny, and cracks start to emerge in unlikely places. Under the watchful eye of a zen-like relationship guru, a strict resort manager, a tempting yoga instructor and a team of therapists, the group find new grounds for love and friendship through hilarious escapades on the island. ‘Couples Retreat’ is based on an original concept by Vince Vaughn, and the film is a collaboration between Vaughn and his friend, co-writer and co-producer Jon Favreau (who also stars). Long-standing friends Jason Bateman and director Peter Billingsley join the team, bringing their own style of humor.
