Invictus Premiere
Thursday December 3, 2009 WARNER BROS. PICTURES AMERICAN SOCIETY OF MOTION PICTURE ARTS & SCIENCES SAMUEL GOLDWYN THEATRE, BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA From director Clint Eastwood, “Invictus” tells the inspiring true story of how Nelson Mandela (Morgan Freeman) joined forces with the captain of South Africa’s rugby team, Francois Pienaar (Matt Damon), to help unite their country. Warner Bros. Pictures presents, in association with Spyglass Entertainment, a Revelations Entertainment / Mace Neufeld production, a Malpaso production, “Invictus,” starring Oscar® winners Morgan Freeman (“Million Dollar Baby,” “The Dark Knight”) and Matt Damon (“Good Will Hunting,” the “Bourne” franchise). The film is produced by Eastwood, Lori McCreary, Robert Lorenz and Mace Neufeld. The screenplay is by Anthony Peckham, based upon the book Playing the Enemy, by John Carlin. Freeman, Tim Moore, Gary Barber and Roger Birnbaum are the executive producers. Visit the official Invictus website This movie is a hot topic, check out all the tweets at Twitter

Mary Pickford, The Muse of the Movies Premiere
Friday August 28, 2009 THE WORLD RESEARCH FOUNDATION SAMUEL GOLDWYN THEATER, BEVERLY HILLS, CA MARY PICKFORD, THE MUSE OF THE MOVIES traces the life and work of the legendary film star, businesswoman and movie pioneer. Pickford’s life (1892-1979) also parallels the birth of cinema itself. Pickford co-created United Artists Studios, spearheaded the founding of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, as well as established the Motion Picture Retirement Home. The documentary traces Pickford’s extraordinary life through restored vintage audio recordings allowing Pickford to “narrate” her own story along with actor Michael York. Classic film clips, rare home movies, and interviews with Adoph Zukor (founder of Paramount Studios), Amelia Earhart, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., Lillian Gish, and Buddy Rogers, as well as the only interview ever given by Pickford’s daughter, Roxanne Rogers Monroe, give the viewer an in-depth look at the life of a remarkable film legend and the early world of American cinema. Proceeds (via donation) from the screening will benefit The World Research Foundation. With worldwide locations including California, Arizona and Stuttgart Germany, the World Research Foundation serves as a repository for all health information from traditional and non-traditional sources.
